Michael W. Manning, DO is a Board Certified orthopaedic surgeon; who provides Full-Circle Orthopaedic™ services for Southern Utah.

He attended Dixie College and graduated from Weber State University. He received his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at UMDNJ/Robert Wood Johnson in NJ.

Dr. Manning has 14 years of experience in orthopaedics, including time at the world-renowned Scripps Clinic in California specializing in hip and knee replacement and reconstruction. He is at the forefront of the orthopaedic industry constantly improving the way care is delivered to his patients.

Dr. Manning is fluent in English and Spanish. He enjoys mountain biking and spending time with his family.


Deeanna Manning
Practice Manager

Deeanna Manning embraces Novatio’s mission of helping others reach their full potential in and outside of work.

Deeanna was a lead trainer for companies across the country teaching employees in the application of business software. In this work, Deeanna, trained Naval and Airforce personnel in the software integration for their flight simulations. Deeanna has also led tech support service for customers on their telephony platforms. More recently, Deeanna was the practice manager at an Acupuncture Clinic in California where she successfully helped transition the organization from a paper based record-keeping system to a new EHR digital platform.

Deeanna enjoys meeting people from all backgrounds in her travels. She regularly volunteers in charity work that helps disadvantaged youth have access to resources for better education and social economic well-being. To get away or to recharge, Deeanna also enjoys taking her camera into nature or doing cross-fit, which helps with her other job as a wife and mom of 7 kids.


Teresa M. Lever, DACM, LAc
Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine

Teresa Lever is a Diplomate of Acupuncture with the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is a Utah licensed acupuncturist and herbalist.

Teresa completed her studies at the Traditional Chinese Medical College of Hawaii on the Big Island of Hawaii and the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Honolulu. While attending TCMCH she also studied with Dr. Chieko Maekawa, Phd, DAc. She is currently immersed in her doctoral studies through Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and will complete her doctorate program in August 2018.

She enjoys working with those who have chronic conditions and structural misalignment and has successfully supported patients providing acupuncture, herbal prescriptions and CAM options for pain management,
reduction and resolution.

For 22 years, Teresa was involved in after-hours urgent care for children, functioning as the Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Executive Officer of Nightime Pediatrics Clinics (NPC). Following her involvement with NPC she offered medical practice and financial consulting services to physicians and surgeons. She sincerely advocates appreciating the value of both eastern and western healthcare systems and believes that the integration of both traditions truly offers the best care for all patients.


John M. Matthias, Ph.D
Clinical Psychologist
Addiction Therapy

Dr. John Matthias has a simple mission – to facilitate self-discovery to make a difference in the world, whether this involves helping clients to overcome past traumas or to become exceptional leaders or parents. He has primarily worked as a clinical psychologist and as an organizational consultant with a focus upon leadership for several major organizations, including the Andre Agassi Foundation. He has been fortunate to have had several exceptional mentors, including the pioneering psychologist Rodney Goodyear and the leadership guru Warren Bennis while receiving his doctorate from the University of Southern California. Dr. Matthias also graduated with honors in philosophy from Princeton University under the guidance of the renowned philosopher, Gilbert Harman. He won the prestigious McCosh Thesis prize at Princeton University. He was an All-Chicago and All-State football player in high school and he played college football at Princeton. He was also high school valedictorian at a large public high school in Chicago where he was chosen for a valedictory study that continues to this day.


T. Chad Baird

Chad is currently a Crossfit Level 2 Programmer and Strength Coach at Crossfit Zion. Chad takes advantage of the multiple utility that Strength Training, Olympic Lifting, Crossfit, Conditioning and proper nutrition bring when combined properly. He’s been able to help athletes at every level from beginner to expert get the most out of their potential for the best performance in any sport.

Chad enjoys helping people of all abilities and you’ll often see him working closely with those that are getting back into the swing of things after an injury or a long lay-off. He is passionate about helping people overcome their challenges to reach their fitness goals and understands both the physical and mental rewards that come from that success.


Jenny M. Simpkins, LMT, MMP
Medical Massage Practitioner

Jenny Simpkins is an independent Licensed Massage Therapist who is also certified as a Medical Massage Practitioner (MMP). Jenny has massage experience in a broad range of medical modalities including orthopaedics, sports, posturology, cupping, manual therapy, and neuromuscular therapy.

Jenny first started her career in the medical field in 2009 as a CNA. She graduated from massage school in 2014 and has been able to realize the full medical benefits of massage therapy with her hospital patients, resulting in faster recoveries and lower uses of pain medication. From experience, Jenny has seen how massage therapy, as part of treatment plan, can significantly reduce the risk of injury, aid in recovery and help people live a more pain-free life.


Alexandrea Neville
Medical Assistant

Alexandrea Neville is Novatio’s medical assistant who most recently was in the nursing department at Utah Valley University.

Alexandrea specializes in making sure patients have a comfortable and positive experience with Novatio. She has a wide array of experience in front-office and customer facing roles within the chiropractic, daycare, automobile, restaurant and hospital industries. Alexandrea is known for how well she cares and treats others with respect.

In her downtime, Alexandrea volunteers as a special needs mutual counselor. She sings in her local choir and plays the piano. She played tennis competitively and is now starting to enjoy pickleball.
